Volunteer Leaders
Build Mentoring Friendships
We believe that God cares about young people. Therefore, our leaders take the time to build friendships of trust with students by spending time with kids in their world and inviting them into spaces where they can have fun, deepen friendships and consider truths that Jesus and the Bible have to offer. All Leaders have been trained and background-checked to ensure the safety of our students.
Staff
OVERSEE LEADERSHIP AND DEVELOPMENT OF AREA
Megan Metzger is presently our Greater Columbus Capernaum Coordinator. She currently lives in Marysville and has been leading the Darby Creek Capernaum club there since 2021. Please contact Megan to learn more about Young Life Capernaum in Columbus.
All Abilities
Welcomed & Celebrated
We currently serve students with a wide-range of abilities! Whatever a student's ability, they are welcome at Capernaum, and we want to try our best to ensure their needs are being met.
Ages 14-22
When Young Life started in Texas in the 1940's, it was focused on reaching High School students. We want to maintain that focus, and so our age-range reflects the years that a student with a disability can remain in High School in Ohio. We partner with local churches to try to develop transition groups for our students as they begin to age out.
Committee
work alongside staff to ensure healthy ministry
This is our local team of adults that volunteer their time, talents and treasure to ensure Young Life in our area is working as effectively as possible. Contact us to learn more about how to be involved.
